Diablo’s original proposal describes a turn-based dungeon game. When the player moves, the monsters take their turn. An example encounter with two skeletons explains how the system would work.
Condor’s business plan proposed small expansion disks priced around $4.95 and stocked near shop tills, with items and creatures of different rarities. The document names Magic: The Gathering as an inspiration.
The final pages set out staffing, art requirements and a proposed twelve-month development schedule. Together, they show the game and business model Condor was pitching in 1994, before the released game took its final form.
