gamescom’s exhibition runs on 25–29 August 2027 in Cologne, but public visitors can enter from 26 August. The first exhibition day, 25 August, is Business and Media Day.
That distinction matters more than the headline week-long date. The broader gamescom week begins with the separate gamescom dev conference on 23–24 August, followed by Opening Night Live on the evening of 24 August. Arriving on Monday doesn’t mean the public exhibition is open.
I’d choose this for seeing and trying games in person, then plan around the actual exhibitor list when the 2027 information arrives. If you only want the announcements, check the broadcast details before paying for a trip.
