IGDA Finland’s Leadership Day takes place on 19 October 2026 at Bio Rex Lasipalatsi in Helsinki. A livestream ticket is offered for people who cannot attend in person.
The agenda includes a panel on running an indie studio and a session by Alex McKinney-Raphelt on leading creative teams through AI adoption. These are management questions, rather than lessons in using a particular engine.
What I’d watch for
I’d choose the sessions around a decision your team is facing. For an art lead, the discussion of expectations and responsible AI use is more specific than a general promise to learn about leadership.
The site still links to the Mentor Cafe and watch-party hosting forms, but gives 14 October as their closing date. That deadline has passed. Do not plan on a mentoring slot from the presence of a button alone; check with the organiser if anything has reopened.
Checked against the organiser’s site on 16 October 2026. Details can change.
