Outerloop Games shared the pitch deck for Thirsty Suitors, its turn-based RPG about breakups and relationships. You can open the actual PDF, alongside notes from the studio about how it approached publishers.
The studio says it spoke to more than 20 publishers, funds and platform holders. It first tested several game ideas, then made a playable prototype of Thirsty Suitors and pitched again to potential partners. That process took about six months.
And the prototype wasn’t only for the publisher. Outerloop says it also helped the team work out production, art direction, theme and writing. That makes the accompanying notes worth reading alongside the deck.
